I live to put my energy into producing a piece of work that has the charm and magnetism to convey information with punch. I love language (and languages), the use of it, playing with it, making things of beauty with it, crafting and honing effective text, coaxing it into stories and narratives of great power and persuasion. Similarly, I love being able to nurture another text into an engaging and successful read, or help someone else to achieve that for themselves.<\/p>\n

OVER MY 30+ YEARS WORKING AS A JOURNALIST IN IRELAND AND GERMANY,
<\/strong>and as dramaturg and literary manager in the Irish theatre world, my extensive experiences in writing, interviewing, editing and coaching have taught me much about the craft of language \u2013 often through mistakes, sometimes from moments of exciting synchronicity.<\/p>\n

Sometimes though, whether it\u2019s writer\u2019s block or just a surfeit of words, I need to take a detour into a non-verbal space. Then I seek refuge in brilliant colour and form \u2013 visual art<\/a>. Apart from taking part in Berlin Urban Sketchers, I love to draw and paint, and also enjoy designing cards and other work.\u00a0<\/p>\n
